Detox Diet

Hey guys...  Here's the basic info on a 7 day detox diet that I tried a while ago to "cleanse" the body.  It is supposed to be really good for your body because it gets rid of all the bad bacteria in your system and allows all the toxins to escape... (don't even go there)... Ha.  After 7 days you are supposed to feel refreshed and energized!
I'll keep you updated day by day... If I survive.
Here's the agenda and allowances of each day:
*AND as always: Please consult your physician or medical provider before changing your diet or beginning any new diet regimens... Side effects may include and are not limited to: Extreme change in mood, EXTREME cravings for pizza and cookies, and death (just because that's always one of the side effects).

Each Day:  - Drink about 40oz. of water (no other beverages are acceptable except juices on specified days)! (This includes NO diet drinks, teas and other artificially sweetened beverages.)
 - You are NOT allowed to add salt or sweeten anything you eat for the 7 days!

   ** Each day, at anytime of the day, you are allowed to eat as much of this soup as you want!**
"Wonder Soup"     (My finished soup pictured to the right)
28 oz. Water
Garlic
2 Onions
2 Green Peppers (I used 1 red)
1 Can of tomatoes (unsalted, in water) Or fresh tomatoes
1 head of cabbage
1 bunch celery
Assorted herbs (whatever you want!)
I added: 1/4 t. garlic powder
1 t. onion powder
Red pepper flakes
1 t. Black pepper
Dash of cilantro flakes

** Remember, NO adding salt!**          

Day 1: Fruits and Fruit Juices  
 - It is important to remember that if you are buying canned fruit, you must buy the fruit that is only canned in
    its own juice.  No fruit canned in syrup.
 - Also remember that the juices must be 100% juice.  It is best if you can make your own pure juice, but if  
    you do not have access to a juicer make sure the label reads 100% juice, "diet" juices are not allowed.

Day 2: Vegetables
 - If you buy canned veggies, make sure that they are unsalted and are canned in water!

Day 3: Fruits, Vegetables and Juices
   - No fruits or Vegetables are off limits!! But remember, NO salt or sugar is allowed on your food!

Day 4: Milk and Bananas
   - This day you are only allowed Bananas and Milk.  NO other fruits.

Day 5: Tomatoes and Protein
     - NO other vegetables are allowed on this day besides Tomatoes!
     - The protein allowed on this day must be lean proteins.  All seafood is acceptable; NO red meat; and as
        always... NO salt or sugar!

Day 6: Vegetables and Protein
     - This day you are allowed to eat any kind of veggies you want with your lean protein (same as day 5).

Day 7: Fruits, Vegetables and Juices
      - Last day!!!! (Same as day 3)
